Institutional Evolution

The International Hapkido Council (IHC), in fulfillment of its mission to develop, regulate, and project Hapkido at the international level, informs its community and the sports organizations of the world that it officially begins its process of institutional evolution toward the World Federation for Sport Hapkido (WFSH).
This evolution is the result of the sustained growth of Sport Hapkido, its participation in international multi-sport scenarios, and the need to strengthen its structure under a federative model, in accordance with the standards recognized by international sport. The World Federation for Sport Hapkido (WFSH) is established as the entity responsible for the regulation, organization, and development of Sport Hapkido within the international competitive field, being founded by the International Hapkido Council (IHC), an organization that fully preserves its historical, institutional, and formative value throughout this process.
This step represents a strategic evolution rather than a replacement, and reaffirms the commitment of both the IHC and the WFSH to the unity, growth, and global projection of Sport Hapkido.

Institutional Statement

The International Hapkido Council (IHC) is the Founding Organization. The World Federation for Sport Hapkido (WFSH) constitutes the resulting federative and sports structure derived from its institutional evolution.
